Department of Prosthodontics, Crown & Bridge
Prosthodontics is the branch of dental art and science that pertains to the replacement of missing teeth and oral tissues to restore and maintain form, function, appearance and health.
There are three major divisions of Prosthodontics: Fixed Prosthodontics, Removable Prosthodontics, and Maxillofacial Prosthodontics.
The geriatric population is catered by replacement with complete denture prosthesis, Implant supported prosthesis and Bio functional prosthesis.
Implant supported prosthesis which is a current trend, is provided for indicated patients.
Patients with partially missing teeth are treated with fixed partial denture or removable cast partial denture prosthesis including Implant supported prosthesis.
All ceramic restorations and laminate veneers are highly biocompatible and are given for esthetic correction in patients with fracture, attrition and discoloration of teeth.
Oral and maxillofacial Prosthodontics a branch which deals with replacement of lost facial parts due to trauma, cancer or tumors. Artificial prosthesis are fabricated for eye, ear, nose, finger and soft tissue in the maxillary and mandibular arches. These prosthesis help in the psychological and functional well being of the patients.
The department of Prosthodontics and Crown & Bridge at the MADHA DENTAL COLLEGE AND HOSPITAL offers advanced training programs for undergraduate and postgraduate students.
The department is well equipped with excellent infrastructure and experienced faculties for providing ideal care for Prosthodontic patients.
